"Had an unforgettable trip with Gotrek on the Adi Kailash and Om Parvat Yatra! The planning was spot-on, the weather was clear, and every highlight was beautifully visible. Even in freezing temperatures, the team’s warm hospitality and comfortable accommodations made the journey amazing. The pricing was absolutely worth it, and the overall experience from start to finish was just perfect. Highly recommend Gotrek for anyone looking for a well-organized and memorable trip!"

Travel FAQ

The window opens from late May to June (best for snow & flora) and September to October (best for crystal clear views of the peaks). We avoid July and August due to monsoon-related road uncertainties in the Kumaon hills.
Gotrek Travels handles the entire liaison. You must provide your Aadhar Card, 4 passport photos, and a Police Verification Certificate (or a valid Passport). We process these through the Dharchula SDM office 15 days before your arrival.
While 4x4 vehicles now reach Jolingkong (Adi Kailash) and Nabhidhang (Om Parvat), the high altitude (14,000ft+) still requires stamina. We recommend light cardio prep for 2 weeks prior to the trip to handle the thin air.
A certificate from a registered MBBS doctor stating you are fit for high-altitude travel is mandatory. It must specifically mention your Blood Pressure and Respiratory health to satisfy ITBP checkpoint requirements.
Safety is our priority. We use high-clearance 4x4 Boleros or Force Travelers specifically maintained for rugged Himalayan terrain. Every vehicle is equipped with a professional-grade oxygen cylinder and a first-aid kit.
BSNL is the only reliable network in the high valleys, though it remains spotty. Most villages now have high-speed satellite Wi-Fi 'PCOs' where you can pay a small fee to call home or use WhatsApp.
We reach Nabhidhang early in the morning. From the viewing point, you can clearly see the snow deposition in the shape of the sacred 'Om'. It is a meditative experience, and we stay long enough for everyone to perform their prayers.
We provide boiled and filtered Himalayan spring water at all campsites. We strongly discourage single-use plastic bottles to keep the sacred Kumaon region clean and sustainable.
Our guides are trained in Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) protocols. We have immediate tie-ups with local Army medical camps and ITBP hospitals in Gunji for emergency stabilization and swift descent if required.
If the Yatra is blocked by government orders or extreme weather before it begins, we offer a full credit for the next available batch. For partial cancellations mid-trip, we provide a transparent pro-rata refund based on utilized services.
